Guide to Using the Native Dialer for Calls in ATZ CRM

This guide explains how to use the native dialer functionality in ATZ CRM to make calls to candidates or contacts using your preferred calling system (e.g., Skype, Zoom, Teams) instead of the built-in Twilio integration.



Overview


The native dialer feature allows you to initiate calls directly from ATZ CRM, leveraging your computer’s default calling application for a seamless experience.



Steps to Call Using the Native Dialer


1. Access a Candidate or Contact Profile

  • Open the profile of the candidate or contact you wish to call in ATZ CRM.

  • Locate their phone number in the profile.



2. Initiate the Call

  • Click the Open Native Caller button next to the phone number.

  • A browser pop-up will prompt you to open your computer’s default calling application (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Teams).



3. Complete the Call

  • Select Open [Application Name] (e.g., “Open zoom.us”) in the pop-up.

  • You will be redirected from ATZ CRM to your default calling system, where the call will be initiated.



Changing the Default Native Dialer


To ensure the correct calling application is used, set your preferred dialer as the default in your computer’s settings:


For macOS

  • Follow the instructions in the macOS Default Dialer Guide to set your preferred calling application (e.g., Zoom, Skype).


For Windows



Notes

  • Functionality: The native dialer feature relies on your computer’s default calling settings and does not use ATZ CRM’s Twilio-powered calling system.

  • Call Logging: Calls made via the native dialer will not be automatically logged or recorded in ATZ CRM, unlike Twilio calls. Manually, add call notes in the Notes section if needed.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local calling regulations and obtain consent if recording calls through your native dialer. Refer to Call Recording Laws.

  • Availability: This feature is available on all ATZ CRM plans, unlike the Twilio calling feature, which requires the Pro plan or above.
